More pictures from Pompeii. We discovered that they had an elaborate system of addresses so that people could find each other's houses. The streets were much easier to follow than Rome's medieval alleys because Pompeii was laid out and ultimately preserved in its form from the 1st century AD. We visited a bakery (one can see the wheat grinding apparatus in the second picture), Baths, brothels, and even a carefully preserved mansion (1st picture). A wonderful tour and very informative.
